By request, here are the pictures of Kyle's birthday cake that I made for him. The only thing not edible is the Mario figure. It was a lot of fun seeing it come to life. It took me many days of planning, and then about three to put it all together. Can you tell that I love Kyle?
Wow, Julie..... This is amazing! Have you done any cake decorating before? I would like to take a class and learn how to use fondant.

ReplyDeleteYou should *never* eat that cake...
I am so lucky to be married to Julie! It was even more impressive up close. The detail of the goombas (the little brown angry guys) was especially amazing. I was very reluctant to eat it because I didn't want to disrupt the masterpiece. Nevertheless, we did eat some of it. It was quite delicious. I took the rest of it to work so that I could illustrate how awesome Julie is! I'm keeping the goombas forever though.--Kyle
ReplyDeleteThis cake is sooooo cool!
ReplyDeleteAre you still in Vienna?
My 6yo daughter will have her party here in Vienna and I was looking for a Baker to order a beautiful cake... would you be interested to bake a Mary Poppins one? Let me know.
And congratulation again! That is a beautiful piece of art.
