After returning from CO, we desired more outdoor adventures. We hopped in the car and drove up into the Jemez to hike the Las Conchas Trail. We really should have ventured out more this summer, but at least we got out there. It was a gorgeous day for a hike. We first stopped at the campground to check it out and play in the water.
Then we moved over to the actual trail. Our mission: to throw as much bark into the stream as we could and see if we could keep up with each piece.
Once we moved away from the stream Logan needed to run. I made Dad run too and keep close to Logan. We have had mountain lions in town this summer and I was pretty sure they could be here too.
Little man did pretty well, but wanted some help on the way back to the car. We didn't go all the way to the end of the trail, but I would guess we did most of it.
It was a wonderful family day.
