Finishing up May

I am trying to make sure I don't get more than two months behind on the blog, so here is the wrap up of our May photos.

May was full of fun. Logan seemed to grow so much and we had a blast with family and friends.
Logan was learning to sit forward on his own.
Most of Logan's grandparents were on hand for a photo. Sadly missing Grandpa Johnson.

Took a quick trip up to Grandma & Grandpa Neel's mountain home.
Logan absolutely loved the wind chime.
We ventured out for a solar eclipse/birthday party.
Canyon seemed to have a great birthday.
I was able to give Indie some of my old Barbie stuff, which seemed to be a hit.
It got a little crazy on the roof during the eclipse.
Logan spent some time getting to know himself. I'm not sure what to make of his expressions.

Hanging out with Grandma after she finished golf for the day.
Logan spent a lot of time on his stomach and on May 22nd he rolled from his back to his stomach for the first time!

My First Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was wonderful. The day started out with a homemade breakfast that Keith cooked up for my mom and me. Then Mom, Keith and I went to see Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, which I highly recommend. For dinner Kyle cooked one of my favorite dishes, Dry Rubbed Chicken Breast Sauté with Sweet Red Chili Sauce. It takes forever to make it, so I knew I was loved as Kyle slaved away in the kitchen. To top off the day, we started a new family tradition. We will forever be doing a Mother-Son photo shoot. Perhaps years from now I will have to get them all published in a photo book.

I was highly entertained as I was setting up the camera and doing some test shots.  I feel the need to share the laughter:

It took some tummy kisses to get Logan to smile.

Where did May go?

Perhaps it is good that I am behind on my blog. Having to go through photos months later has given me a chance to relive those precious moments that are long gone. It also makes me appreciate our current time together even more.

Back to May...
Our first adventure of the month was the "Run for the Zoo". Our friend Tim came from Los Alamos to walk with us. We had a gathering of friends the night before that went all night and into the morning.  So with a few hours of sleep, the four of us slowly walked for the zoo. It was really neat to know that the zoo had 12,500 registered participants for the day!

Logan slept through the bus ride to the zoo and the whole walk.

After the walk, we took Logan to the aquarium for the first time.

A few random shots from the first 10 days in May:

One of Logan's favorite toys is Scout, which is programmed with Logan's name for various songs it sings. As Logan grows we will be able to add Logan's favorite foods, colors, etc.

Kyle was watching over this exhausted group as we attempted to catch up on much needed sleep that we missed the night before.

Logan found his feet on the 10th. It didn't take long before they were in his mouth.
